Senior Controls Engineer Reports to: Controls Engineering Manager Location: Salt Lake City, UT Thinking man’s punk rock band, Bad Religion formed more than 40 years ago (!) and released their 4th album, NO CONTROL in 1989. The title track is a commentary on how little humans really know about our world and how very little CONTROL we have over anything in it. Doesn’t seem like a very popular opinion these days, what with us being the chosen ones and the center of the universe and all (sorry, science!)… But, the fact is, life is fleeting, we are woefully insignificant in the grand scheme of things and much of what we base our beliefs upon is completely false or merely a human construct, developed so we could wrap our heads around something we didn't readily understand and certainly could not CONTROL. Anyway, speaking of CONTROL, we’re hiring a SENIOR CONTROLS ENGINEER who is a prodigious PLC programmer and polished, professional people person. Responsibilities of the Senior Controls Engineer: Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers specifying, designing and programming industrial manufacturing and automation controls systems, panels, hardware, field instrumentation, etc. Work to provide solutions and optimize manufacturing processes to successfully meet project goals such as scope, scheduling and financials.
